Richard Baecher

Director - Cyber & IT

Richard has an extensive background in information technology service delivery and as a CIO/CTO and General Manager in both the private and NSW public sectors, in Australia and overseas. His career encompasses ICT management consulting, electronic service delivery, enterprise facility operations, and cyber and information security.

His record as a senior executive responsible for the overall management of the ICT business function includes operational management coupled with key stakeholder and executive engagement. He has particular strengths in strategic business and digital planning for large organisations, ICT functional assurance assessments, organisational procurement, tender management, and cyber security. Richard holds a BEc (Monash), is an accredited auditor of ISMS ISO/IEC 27001, and an NSW ICT Gateway Reviewer.

Richard is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society (FACS), and ACS Certified Professional (ACS CP), a past Chair of ACS NSW and member of the ACS national Management Committee. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM). Richard has served on the Boards of several Not-for-Profit organisations and been a guest speaker at a range of domestic and international conferences on ICT matters.
