Managing Partner

For the third year in a row, Centium signed up as a corporate supporter of the NSW Local Government Professionals Association. As part of this partnership, we are a proud sponsor of one of the Local Government Excellence Awards.

On Thursday 4 June, Phil O’Toole, Sarah Artist and Jennifer Perry suited up and joined around 860 other attendees at Royal Randwick Winx Stadium for the formal awards evening. The Local Government Awards Dinner is a highlight of the sector calendar, bringing people together to celebrate achievement, leadership and shared success.

Across the evening, awards were presented in 14 categories, recognising innovation, dedication and outstanding outcomes delivered by councils and individuals across New South Wales.

This year, Centium sponsored the ‘Local Enterprise’ category, which recognises projects that strengthen local business communities and support enterprise. We were delighted to see Phil up on stage to present the award to Fairfield City Council for their project "The Canleys”: The Canleys is an economic development program designed to position two Western Sydney town centres, Canley Heights and CanleyVale, as authentic, safe, and culturally vibrant night-time economy destinations. Mid Coast Council won the highly commended award for this category.

Additionally, as a marker for the LG Management Challenge, Sarah was pleased to see Randwick City Council take out the title. The team were clear leaders on the day, showing outstanding collaboration, insight and analytical thinking throughout the challenge.

Overall, it was a rewarding and enjoyable evening, and a great opportunity for Centium to show support for excellence in the local government sector. And, of course, a chance to dust off the lounge suits and hit the dance floor.
