Service Reviews

Welcome to Centium's Service Review practice, where we partner with our clients enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their services.

In September 2021, the NSW Office of Local Government introduced updated guidelines for Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R), requiring NSW Local Councils to publish and report on a program of service reviews. These reviews are integral to Council Delivery Programs, ensuring transparency and accountability in council operations.

Service reviews require Councils to identify areas for evaluation during their term and outline how they will engage with the community and other stakeholders to establish service level expectations and appropriate measures.

Benefits of Service Reviews

Service reviews are designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of council operations. They enable councils to align their services with community needs and strategic priorities, ensuring resources are used effectively while fostering community trust.

Engagement with the community and stakeholders is a vital component, ensuring that service levels are determined collaboratively and reflect local expectations.
