Centium listed on Local Government Amalgamation Panel

June 3, 2016

The NSW Government is transforming the system of local government to ensure that councils are ready to deliver the quality services and infrastructure that communities deserve.

The NSW Premier Mike Baird and the Minister for Local Government Paul Toole have announced 19 new councils will be created in NSW.

We are pleased to advise that Centium is now a member of the Local Government Amalgamation Supplier Panel. This means Councils are able to directly engage Centium to assist them in all aspects of their amalgamation efforts.

The list of panelists has been distributed to Administrators and Interim General Managers of the 19 merged councils.

Centium has always had a strong presence in the sector and has in the past completed a number of audits, investigations and consulting engagements for local government.

Councils can now easily leverage Centium’s decades of local government experience to assist with their merger plans in areas such as Human Resources, ICT, Change Management and Project Management.

Centium’s inclusion on the Government panel of providers is strengthened by continuing to offer our clients highly experienced and respected sector specific team members. And not just any team members; team members with front line experience such as the Mayor of Goulburn and Councillor for over a decade. He’s been through various reforms, mergers and amalgamations and can share his front line experiences, including lessons learnt, good practices and those that are not so good.

Feel free to contact any of our Directors for more information about how we can be of service.
